Overview of the Flat Belly Fix Program

Todd Lamb designed this weight loss system when his wife was in a car accident and suffered an injury. Unfortunately, she had a very hard time keeping weight off and came very close to having type 2 diabetes. In 3 weeks, she lost 23 pounds with Todd’s system and their friends had similar results.

7-Minute Flat Belly Protocol

 

This part has pictures and detailed instruction to explain the workout routine. Each day is broken down into different sections. This isn’t like a bunch of workout pics but more like having a personal trainer to help you complete each exercise. You really only need 7 minutes a day to do one protocol. It’s that easy! I do it every morning before showering.

If you really think about it, 7 minutes is not much at all. Compared to a 24-hour day, 7 minutes of time might seem rather insignificant. However, the exercises in this program will make you reconsider how important seven minutes really is. The exercises included are fiber activation, isometric holds, and system tension movements, among others.

The system consists of seven protocols of exercise, one for every day of the week. You might be thinking that 7 minutes isn’t enough to really do anything, but I guarantee you it is! You are going to feel the burn. 😉

The exercises are designed to target the stomach area. These movements are based on what soldiers, police officers, SWAT teams, and military members do daily for strength and resistance training. It may seem intimidating at first, but you can be rest assured, it’s not.

If you are like me and haven’t exercised in years, the program comes with detailed instructions and pictures to help guide you through. This way, you won’t be left wondering if you are really doing the movements correctly. Everything is included: number of reps, duration of exercise moves, and rest period lengths. It’s very easy to follow along.

To get the best results from the program, you will be doing one of the protocol exercises daily. Each day will consist of two to three different exercises.

For example, one day, you have the option to do 3 sets of 15 pelvic tilts for 20 seconds each or 8 reps of asymmetric holds for 30 seconds each. If you do both exercises, they will take you 7 minutes total, which is what the guide recommends.

What I loved about the exercises was that no gym equipment is required. All the movements can be done on a gym mat or rug in your home.

In this section of the Flat Belly Fix program, you will find recipes for delicious smoothies to get the fat burning ingredients incorporated into your daily routine. The smoothie recipes are easy and quick to make, not to mention absolutely delicious. They can either be used as a meal replacement, as a snack or after a workout.

The smoothies are really wonderful and my favorite is the cinnamon carrot one. Todd also includes a shopping list so you know what to get at the store. It’s things like this that really make me love this program. The author truly cares about the program he has created and wants everyone to succeed. It’s a lifestyle that is realistic and designed by a person who understands your needs.

A lot of diets don’t understand the satiety and taste that comes with eating unhealthy foods or just too much food in general. I found that the smoothies in the recipe book were very satisfying and I didn’t crave junk food nor was I constantly starving like with most diets. Instead of telling you what not to eat, Flat Belly Fix gives you a list of foods you can eat.

Being a foodie, I really love eating fresh fruit and locally grown produce. With smoothies made from ingredients such as coconut, wild berries, nuts, almond milk, vanilla, avocado and other fruits, I can say that I enjoyed eating with this program. A couple of ingredients may be hard to find (like the kefir and coconut milk yogurt) but you can usually get them at a health food or organic food store. With a little planning, every aspect of the program is easy.

If you have decided to follow the program, you will need to get used to the recipes. This should be easy to do being as delicious as they are. Not to mention, they are low in sugar and as I mentioned before, quick & easy to prepare. A few of the recipes included are my all-time favorite which I still make to this day.

Although the recipes can be used as a snack, they work best for meal-replacements when you are short on time. Just throw everything in the blender and you are good to go!

Flat Belly Fix Cardio Solution

The Flat Belly Fix Cardio Solution works together with the Flat Belly Fix Protocol. While you aren’t required to do the exercises in this guide, it will help to speed up your results if you can do them 2-4 times a week.

A variety of sessions are included ranging from intervals of body weight exercise to basic walking. You can choose whichever one you want to do based on your physical fitness level and schedule.

The exercises in Cardio Solution are interval training sessions. These are routines that use the HIIT training program (High-Intensity Interval Training). HIIT routines provide better results for fat loss. The guide also provides an alternative to HIIT, called LISS (Low-Intensity Steady State), for those who prefer something else.

I highly recommend at least trying the LISS training, especially if you haven’t been physically active for a while. If you have quite a bit of weight to lose, it may be difficult to do the HIIT training at first. You can start with LISS and after you gain some stamina, move over to HIIT.

Todd provides a great comparison of LISS and HIIT. You can decide which one is right for you. Also, there is a section dedicated to people who are overweight. This is wonderful because most programs don’t take this into account when providing workout routines.

The HIIT training consists of 3 protocols and there is 1 LISS protocol. This provides plenty of choices to keep things new.

 

Flat Belly Yoga

The Flat Belly Yoga guide is a free bonus when joining the Flat Belly Fix program. It’s a great alternative for those who prefer doing yoga over other types of activities. I really enjoyed the poses included and still use them as an ongoing part of my fitness routine.

70 yoga poses are included with the guide. It’s meant to clear your mind and body from stress that can lead to inflammation and excess belly fat retention.

 

The guide also goes over how the physical activity of yoga can benefit you. There are both external and internal health benefits that yoga provides. It gives over 10 reasons why you should be doing yoga.

To get the most out of the 21 Day Flat Belly Fix, you will need to work with some recipes that support the system. The author has you covered because he includes a recipes book with over 40 recipes you can make yourself.

Every recipe in the book is friendly to the program. So, you can try any of them and not have to worry about going off the diet plan. All of the recipes are written clearly and have all quantities and ingredients listed as well as nutritional info. You will know exactly how the food supports your weight loss by knowing what you are eating.

 

The recipes I have made were quick and easy to prepare. They were also great! Most healthy recipes seem to be very bland and lack flavor but that wasn’t the case here.

After you turn forty, it’s increasingly difficult to lose weight and keep it off. What this program taught me was a philosophy that not only helped me achieve my weight loss but to also maintain it.
